Is my Amazon Alexa dead?

Spoke to Alexa and no lights. Have pulled out the cable from the Dot (2nd gen) and put it back in after a min. Opened the app and Alexa is offline. Rebooted modem, which is by Alexa. Removed the device on app and then tried to add it. On app, says to hold action button for 15 seconds until orange light comes on. No light.

Is my Alexa dead?

Either the device or the adaptor.

If you've got another unit try swapping their mains adaptors.

I did a fair stint in retail, manager of the music department in Kendal Milne on Deansgate, Manchester, manager of the carpet department in Lewis's Manchester, and manager of a car accessory shop on Deansgate, Manchester.

I fully concur and sympathise that working in retail is about as bad as employment gets :) My old man made me do it, with the comment that after five years anything else will be bliss, but you will have learned how stupid the public are and learned about profit and loss, ready for something with a risk factor involved, and the chance to lose your own money as well as make it.
