Hey all,

I am completely new to the world of OC-in and I have finally got my rig together. I have an Antec SmartPower 2.0 450W PSU is this going to be suitable for OC-in my Opty 146? I am not (well at this stage) going to push it very hard e.g. over 3Ghz but is this PSU going to be enough for just like pushing to around 2.6-2.8Ghz? I know from reading the other threads that if it is not suitable will have to go for something like a Hiper or OCZ Powerstream.

Cheers,
D.

i guess it would help to tell everyone what else you have, i mean if you have 20 cdroms and 15 hdd's 40fans, what gfx you have. its going to need more power than if you have one of each.

I have a TP430 and it has been fine, powering dothan+6800GT (both heavily overclocked), 3 hdd's, 2cdroms, 4 fans, lights.

My rig

Soz,

Opty 146, 2 x 1GB G.Skill DDR ZX CAS2, DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D,LG Rewriter, 2 x 200GB Maxtor SATA2 DiamondMax Plus 10, Geforce 6600 PCI-E 256mb, maybe another IDE HDD for storage.

Doh, my signature has kicked in now too!
