Is my AOC i2353fh faulty?

Every time I display an black and white image, my AOC i2353fh screen leaves a mark behind.

I uploaded an image to show you what I mean.

I had an image with the word "HELLO" in black and the background white. When I display a grey image the word "HELLO" burned in. Is this normal?

Please note that I am using an LED-LCD IPS screen

There is an identical issue affecting LG panel versions of Apple Macbook Pros atm. Your issue is probably related. A replacement may well provide the same image retention based on how widespread the problem is. No, it is not normal and definitely not acceptable.

looks like some image retention which as said, has affected some other screens in the past. I never saw any problems with it when i tested the screen so you may have luck with an RMA replacement

Humm, but its temporary. it only lasts 10secs max

Yeah that kind of issue is normally temporary on LCDs so it just depends whether it's really an issue for you day to day I suppose
