Is my audigy slowing me down in games ?

see my sig for system spec, currently running an audigy 1, it was either that or motherboard sound...... both 5.1 IIRC.

i dont really use 5.1 anyway, but is the lack of audigy x-fi slowing my computer down ?

lots of games recommend an x-fi now, i was a bit worried they wouldnt run.....

No.

The Audigy 1 is more than good enough for 99% of games.

The other 1% wont speed up by the use of an XFI, but they might be able to make use of the audio a little better, but speed is not an issue.
