4 times this year my battery has worn down:

1) Car on the drive while I went on a 3 week holiday in Egypt
2) Accidentally hit my parking lights on fo r3 hours
3) I tried one of these little heaters yo uput in your cigarette lighter and after 20 minutes it had flattened my battery
4) Yesterday evening knocked my parking lights on again for 3 hours.

The car always starts up perfectly except for those 4 times.

Thoughts/advice before I spend £60

It takes a fair amount of effort from the battery to start the car and yours is still starting it

If it was me i'd be very tempted to replace it with a quality battery, its peace of mind and better than ending up stranded somewhere

Draining a lead acid battery to a completely flat state does them no favours at all; it does sound like the capacity of your battery has degraded significantly as it should be able to power parking lights for 3 hours (20watts at 12v for 3 hours is only 5 ampere/hours). Chances are that the first really cold snap will kill it.
