Had the pc crash on a few occasions lately all with this.

Tried various drivers but it made no difference.

Have you checked the temp right before it crash? Could be the protection kicking-in due to high temp?

My 9800GTX+ been starting to crash (or shut down) quite frequently since I started playing Guild Wars 2 with the temp hitting 85C (crappy blower cooler). Installed a 3rd party cooler and dropped the load temp to under 60C and no more crash/shutdown. GTX295 is not exactly known for cool running neither...
