I have ordered it, but just want to check that I can play it, as if not then i'll send it back/sell it on.

I gather it would have been easier to ask before ordering it, but excitment got the better of my

P.S. - Sorry if this is the wrong place :)

If you overclock your CPU, then you may be able to play on medium settings.

I guess i'll have to read up on OC'ing as i've never attempted it before and don't want to ruin the CPU.

If i were to upgrade, what would you suggest as a new CPU and would I need some more RAM?

Thanks.

tbh, a new CPU would just be bottlenecked by the 4670. Just overclock the CPU (should get 2.8Ghz on a e2180) and you're good to go.

I could hardly play it on a 4670 and a dual core e6600 at 2.8ghz.

If you are going to put some serious gameplay hours into bc2, then you need to upgrade to a quad core.

Thanks Tefal.

So hopefully if I can OC the current CPU to 2.8 as mentioned earlier in the thread, I should be able to play the game ok(ish). Reckon it would be worth sticking another 2gb RAM in there?

You have mabe me feel like a right fool:o, actually I does sound like im showing off, that was not my intension:)

Sorry dude! :p

Just seemed obvious to me that you've got a good rig that should easily be able to play BC2. :)

Wish I had the know how to overclock my E8400 like yours, I'm a bit scared something will go horrifically wrong and I won't be able to afford a replacement. :(

Post here, thats what I did, when I started my heart was in my mouth, just read and ask on this forum for info, just need bit of confidence thats all, tbh I wrote all my settings down, and then just messed around, the E8400 is a fantastic chip keeps nice and cool too, go for it dude:)

Thanks! Maybe when I've got enough money to replace anything that could get fried then I may try clocking it, I bet if I try now I'll bugger something up with no way to replace it! :p

Don't seem to be having any performance problems at the moment so I guess it can wait. I'll have to wait until 12am tonight to see if my rig handles BC2 well. I'm hoping the graphics card will take most of the punishment.
