I havent a clue and cant seem to find the answer but i have a intel Duo 2.8, its not a conroe but the one before it, can i use 64 bit windows with it?

Intel Duo 2.8? I think someone is confused.

Core Duo's 32bit, but its top speed (not overclocked) is 2.33Ghz
Core 2 Duo is 64bit, but it doesnt come in a 2.8Ghz. It does come as 2.67 or 2.93 yes, but not 2.8

Im guessing its a Pentium D 820, or 920, these are Dual Core P4's and support EM64T.

CPU-Z would be a great idea to wash away the confusion.

I didnt know what speeds they run at.....i jus know core duo came before core 2 duo.....and that they dont have 64bit extensions...

Exactly right, his chip supports 32bit, core 2 duo is also 32bit but supports 64 bit extensions

However, if he means "duo" to mean dual core than it's possible it's a Pentium D 820 which does support the EM64T instruction set.

Thats what it is an 820, i havent ran the cpu program as i thought someone would just know, im not desperate to know though cheers anyway.
