Is my cpu dying?

I could be barking up the wrong tree here, but have had hundreds of crashes lately for no reason that I can see.

I've run memtest and that comes back fine. I'm now running intel burn test and hoping it'll throw up errors.

The cpu is run at completely stock speeds and yet I have just had a bsod stating "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the specified time interval"

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I am at a loss as to what it could be.

Check your RAM voltage in the bios. With 16GB, it could be undervolting.

Hey mate,

Its set at 1.50v and in monitoring in bios/windows reports 1.52v. (ram is 1.5v anyway so all good there)

I wondered whether for four sticks I might have to up the vtt, but then surely they don't expect everyone to do this at stock clock?

if you are concerned it might be a CPU problem, contact the CPU manufacturer as they might be able to help either confirm your suspicions or alleviate them!

What was the error code with BSOD?

Edit: Have you got a screenie of the BSOD?

Try running the intel diagnostic tool to see if it passes.

AFAIK, You are running IBT incorrectly, you need to enable 4 threads and use max available ram by manually selecting it, and also you should disable things like your anti virus and any background processes..hope this helps..

There was a guide I found on how to set IBT to run, but for the life of me I cant find it now.
