Hi People,

I replaced my graphics card recently as it was giving me blue dots underload.
The new one seems to be doing the same and I am obviously thinking its something else.

I am pretty confident I applied the artic silver compound correctly and evenly and wondered if anyone could advise on the temps I am getting or what I could try to resolve?

I looked at other threads and came up with PC Wizard 2008 for the top one and cpu-z for the bottom.
Just fired up Speedfan and got

34c
33c
29c
29c
on idle
Then i put COD4 on for 5 minutes at high settings and got
48c
39c
37c
37c

Blue dots have gone now????????
If it was a heat issue surley the dots would stay?
I have seen a few peope mention the multiplier, could this cause a problem as I have not touched mine through lack of knowledge.

You need test temps when Cpu is underfullload like prime.

Running cod 4 will not get you full load stress temps.

If you use Speedfan then AFTER you exit whatever you used to get the cores hot you need to hover your mouse cursor over the temp in Speedfan to see a small popup that should display the current, max and average temps. Just checking the temp after leaving COD4 will more than likely show a lower than max temp as the cores have had time to cool.
