hi, this is my first post and ident really know what section to use.
i have a bfg 9800 gtx oc2 i got from oc, it has had no problems till now (got it about one year ago), on battlefield 2142 when playing my screens keeps getting multi colored checkers on it ever so often, this will get worse the longer i am playing the game.
i have kept the card running at the speeds it came clocked at and have only overclocked my cpu from 2.4 to 2.8ghz (the card is Intel Core 2 Duo E4600)
my pc is stable with prime 95 tested on all stress tests for over one hour so it should be stable. the worrying thing is that my g-card is running at 65-75degress under load and i think this could be the problem. i have tryed turning my cpu to stock speeds but the problem keeps occurring.
can you guys give me some advise on what to do next i really dont have a clue now.
hope you guys can give me some advise, and thanks for any input.

CLAIMED! my 2nd today lol

should have posted in the graphics card section!

temps are fine, but does sound like RMA time tbh

What about in other games?

EDIT: Download furmark, run the stability test and if same happens defo RMA

Could even be worth re-applying the thermal compound with the stock heatsink. In the past this has always helped my temps with graphics cards, the manufacturers tend to splash it on like its going out of fashion!

I seriously doubt over heating is the problem here!

An RMA is a return to the manufacturer, BFG have an amazing returns warrenty.

And with an English base in wales it just gets better

Just visit there website.

if the temps are fine do any of you guys know why this is happening. also i cant seem to get furmark to run i have installed it exc

Check the box stability test, uncheck the box full screen, check the box custom window, select a suitable res, then chose 8x AA then hit run! Voila

would this problem be caused by my graphics card? im not even 100% it is my card could be anything for all i know i just think it is the most likely cause. if it is my card will defo take a look at there site the card had a 10yr worenty one of the reasons i got a bfg :)

Temps sound fine, 65c is not too hot BUT if the temp reading is wrong it dosn't matter what the reading is.

I am suspicious of the temps as you say the problem gets worse the longer you play. If it were a core or memory problem, the issue would pretty much be immediately apparent. Is it in all games or just BF2142?

well i have only be on bf2142 since the problem has been happening. the problem will happen fairly quickly once in the game but it dose get worse till the point of a blue screen if it is running for about 30-45mins.
give me a bit will give crysis a once over should stress it out a lot more than bf.

that does not sound much different from mine..
