I bought most of the below spec from OCUK about 3 months ago, with that I also purchsed an addional 460 786mb to go with my one a bough a year or so ago also from OCUK.

It was all working great, until today, I was playing Arma II with a friend and my entire PC locked up. I rebooted, went into the game fine and then 10 mins later, same thing, game just froze and I had to power down.

When powering up, my PC would get to the windows 7 loading screen, then the monitor would turn off (no signal) and reboot this would loop continuiously.

So I rebooted in Safemode, reinstalled drivers (did this 3 times with different drivers incase of compatability problems with Beta drivers).

Managed to get into windows 7, went to SLi profiles, was on single card mode. As soon as i switched to Sli, PC would freeze and reset.

I tried swapping the cards about (the new card was in the secondary slot, and I put it in the primary slot and I couldnt even get into windows).

I am at a loss really now of what to do, the card is only 3 months old, but it was a refurb with a 1 year warranty, what worries me is, doesnt appear this is in stock now so if it has died or the prev owner had issues, can i still get a like for like replacement as 1gb card wont work in Sli.

Any advice would be welcome, has anyone had exp of returning things in warranty? a real PITA as my gaming exp with those cards was brilliant and SWTOR is just around the corner :(

Oh and the card still appears in windows, still powered up, fan still turning, no bad smells, no visible damage.

When you put it in the primary slot was this just using 1 card in the systems?

Just trying to rule out PSU issues.

If that is the case when doing the RMA, state you have used it in a SLI rig, so you need identical replacement or refund if that isn't possible.

If your newest card is not working in the primary gpu slot, and your older one is, I would contact OcUk customer support, vai phone or web note using this forum, I'm sure they will tell you what to do from here :)

Thank you for the replies. I did as instructed, totally took the new card out and placed it on its own in the primary slot.

Same crap screen turns off and cant get into windows.

Placed my old card in on its own, its fine now as i type.

1 thing I did notice now I have removed the card is 1. on the picture below. is something missing? but then I noticed 2, so im assuming its not missing something.

I got this card as a refurb, turned out to be pretty poor indeed lasting exactly 6 weeks...

I would suggest you upgrade the psu as well unless you want it risk blowing up and taking other compnents with it. hiper psus are known for blowing up at the drop of the hat.
