is my GPU dying?

Nvidia Driver 560.70
VLC 3.0.20
K=Lite codec 1850

In the (cropped) photo taken off my screen with a camera, you can see the white edges on the legs.
This happens when a dark object moves against a dark background.
This does not appear when viewing the same video on my laptop or a different PC.
It never used to do this.

Is my GPU dying?

I'd expect this kind of thing to be from a monitor setting or whatever rather than the GPU itself.

You are right.
My monitor was set to a faster panel response time - quote 'accererate the response time to make video appear more vivid and natural'
Set it back to standard and all is OK
