Is my Graphics Card broken ? ATIKMPAG.SYS Error

Guys is my Graphics card broken as I can not get any of my hard drives to load , Every time I restart my pc I get the Blue screen with ATIKMPAG.SYS come up ,

I have tried a total reinstall everything works ok , but as soon as I download AMD drivers , even old ones Boom the same problem again !

Should i send my Graphics card back or could it be something else causing this ?


This happened today when I was on the New Dragon Age screen making a new alt and then my screen went BLACK ! ever since then i've not be able to fix this problem.

I've had pc's for well over 15 years and have tried everything I can think of , any ideas guys ?

EDIT: My bad wasn't paying attention, does the card work if the AMD drivers are not installed?

Yes the card works in safe mode with networking , that is what I am using now to talk on hear


I have also done a fresh install today on one of my harddrives and everything works fine until I go and install the AMD Drivers ?


and then Boom Blue screen of death with that error code comes up.

Sounds like a driver issue to be honest, have you tried that latest stable WHQL drivers?

I think its something wrong with my card as if I uninstall the driver it works but I have 4 light blue bars running down my screen , I'm going to RMA it.

Just looking around on the net it looks like a lot of people are having similar issues , it seem to be to do with this new AMD Driver ,
