Is my Graphics card dead?

Hi, I have the Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card.
Basically I tried connecting a HDMI splitter to my graphics card whilst the machine was still on, my computer crashed and then the screen went black.

I restarted it and there was no signal on monitor. I had to restore my computer as the hard drive (boot manager) was corrupt.
Only the integrated graphics works now. I re-seated the graphics card and also changed slots, still no luck. The fans on the Graphics card is not working either.
It's also not appearing in the device manager under display adapters.

I suspect that an electrical-over voltage from the HDMI splitter has killed my graphics card?
I don't think this would have affected my motherboard?

Should I RMA it?

Many thanks

Sounds kind of like electrostatic discharge but I haven't heard it coming from a HDMI cable before.

I'd send a webnote to OC and ask them what they think you should do, or post on the customer service part of the forum.

Oh dear, you need to educate about danger of static electricity!

Never ever plug in HDMI cables while machines turned on!!!

I realised years ago when I plugged in HDMI cable from graphic card HDMI port to HDTV which was turned on caused screen gone black for few secs, should had turned off HDTV allowed to discharged static electricity.
