Is my gtx 670 broke?

Ok some things to check out before we can decide if the card is completely at fault or if its something else (it does look like bad vram to me).

What PSU?
What temps prior to the crash?
Is the fan spinning on the card?
Can you test another card in the system or the same card in another system?
Does it happen in idle state or only when load is applied?
Have you tried to down-clock the core and memory by say 100mhz and re-test?

certainly try down clocking it to see if that cures it. I know it's not the answer but at least you could narrow down whats wrong with it.

will try downclocking the speed when I getbhome omw now.

I have an ocz 750w sli certified. was running sli 570's before so doubt itbwould be tht
temps around 65 / 70 I think.

yesbfan is going got itbset to 90% at 70c.

I have 2 570's still so will try 1 ofbthem.

it happens when there are any graphics ie. pic on websites, youtube vids.

evga also said to try putting physx to cpu c what happens.

the htpc only has a value 500w psu doubt it can handlebit can it?

PSU should be up to the job. The 670's aren't very power hungry at all.

Did you do a complete driver removal and clean install? (I actually think the NV installer has an option for this). Just to rule out a conflict from your 570 setup.

You could try it in your HTPC, 500w should be enough for a 670 and the bare essentials, but it being a value brand I'd be cautious doing so.

isn't evga's warranty global?

in any case I would send it to them.

BTW iirc thr 670 FTW LE is a lower binned version of the 670 FTW? Unable to meet a clockspeed requirement? Can't remember whether it was boost or base..

yeh teh ftw le is 940 base 1050 boost ftw is 1006 base.

I did a complete windows wipe and re-installed from fresh.

tried downclocking and it went even worse. about 6 times in 1 minute just looking at desktop.

couldn't even reply on here as it did it too much.

Just put a 570 back in and its running perfectly. doing stress test atm whilst typing this and not 1 problem.

I probably read it wrong :) I have been putting up flat pack wardrobes/Drawers all day and my nut is mashed :D

i spent the last 8 hours re-installing windows as windows update kept corrupting my install.

Decided to **** off window updates now. took the M4's out of RAID 0 and atm have absolutly nothing installed
