Seeing as I'm on a Mac I figured it's best I post it in here rather than the generic hard drive section
I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment and I fear one of my drives is on its way out. No tell tale signs of clicking and whatnot, but this is how it acts so far.
In Finder I can view all the files, but when I try to access them (say, a 1080p movie) it would take ages to load up and then when it does load it would freeze after a few secs. So it seems I can read the data on my drive but not access it?
Went into Disk Utility and it said the drive was OK. Also did a repair but the above scenario still happens.
I even tried to get SuperDuper to do a straight up clone of the drive onto a fresh one, but it's going nowhere and stays stuck at 0% with no files copied even after an hour.
Any ideas?
