Is my Logitech Z5500 past it?

I've had this set since 2005, it's still going but the display LED is a bit flakey.

I can't help but think the bass is a bit off and the speakers are a bit muffled, possibly clouded by my Monolith Plus and Wharfedale 9.1s but they were not this bad.

Is it a case that after 15 years the innards may be getting a bit warn like the capacitors?

Cones not ripped or the foam around them perished?

In good nick the system should still sound pretty good but the electronics were somewhere between consumer and Hifi so yeah they could be degrading in the amp.

Pity as I had a full set of unused speakers in the attic for years you could have tested but I just sold them on Ebay and being well made they went for decent money.
