Hi all, Im fairly new to mac so not sure what im doing when it comes to problems,
I hadnt touched my mbpro for about a week, went to turn it on but battery had ran out so left it on while at work to charge,
when i got home i turned it on and it came back to how it was a week ago with web pages etc, but it was dead slow so i thought id restart to see if that would help but it sat on the start up screen with the spinny thing and then a progress bar came up and then it turned off.

since then each time i try and turn it on it does exact same, tonight ive tried a disk verify but it wouldnt repair or verify, just tells me error disk utility cant repair.

I bought the macbook pro 13" mid 2012 second hand from a work colleague but he had lost/thrown away the box with all the stuff in it.

any suggestions on what i can do next or which hdd to buy to replace if it needs one

thanks in advance
Ali

Not sure if its you're HD thats borked... Well. I had it once in an old mb with a normal hard drive. all it came up with was im guessing something related to the motherboard and just a standard message. no movement or anything.

thats what im my mind makes me think it might not be the hard drive since its booting and you're getting some osx goodness. How ever, i know nothing

best bet wouldbe to pop over to mac rumours forums. they've been pretty useful for me in the past
