Is my memory broken?

Hi guys,

I know this might sound daft, but stay with me. When I used to do work in an office (like data entry while at uni), I used to be sharp with my memory. I'd have no trouble remembering what I did during the day, what i'd had for breakfast etc.

Now, since starting a more 'mentally demanding' job (psychologist covering fourteen schools), I do a heck of a lot more during the day, and have been struggling to remember what I have done on that day. Basically, the jobs that I have done during the morning, what I had for breakfast seem like such a long time ago, and I have to really think to remember what I've done.

Now, either my memory is broken, or this is normal. So, to those who have a job which means they have a lot of diversity (like today, I've visited 5 schools and worked with, probably, nine or ten kids), do you have trouble remembering what you've done during the day?

Odd, I know. But thanks.

Hmm, I have been anxious of late. I wonder if that's it.

My professional opinion is that there is a certain level of being overworked, but I don't feel overworked, so wondered whether it was the same for others.
