New build today, E6300, DS4, and 2x1Gb Geil PC6400 cas4, been having no end of problems.
The system will not even post with one of the RAM stick so I figure its dead. Got things running with the other stick and finally installed windows and updated the BIOS to F7. Computer seemed to run fine at first other than the fact whenever I restart its a lottery as to whether the system will hang or not. Processor is running at stock and memory is I think running at 533 but could be at 800 (The new F7 BIOS is a bit confusing in that regard). Tried to run 3DMark to bench the system but it kept crashing to desktop part way through so I ran orthos. The small FFT's run no problem, only tested for 30mins though but if I run blend I get a warning within a minute, record is 9 seconds
Tried another windows based memory test and I got the blue screen of death and a reset.
So are both sticks dead, should I get them swapped? or could it be the mobo or processor?
thanks
