Is my memory faulty ?

I had a strip of ddr2 512mb ram and put that in the mobo and it posts and is loading windows. does that mean my 2x 1 gig ram that i got is faulty or not compatible with my board? as the mobo doesn't post or bleep with them in ? The details on the memory is 1G533 UL 002EJCJ463

What happens when you only use one of the memory modules in the system and in various memory slots - also some boards don't boot if the memory is in the incorrect slots.

no boot at all tried swapping them around. in alterate ports etc

try and run memtest, see if your memory is faulty

Herp derp. Read OP in future please

You might need a BIOS update so your board recognizes them. Either that or you might be able to set RAM speed in the BIOS with your old memory installed, save CMOS and then try the new RAM
