Hi guys,

I have been trying for a few days to OC my E6400 beyond 3Ghz. Thanks to some of the good folk on this forum, I have managed to get it to 3.1Ghz but the only way I can do this is when I drop my RAM FSB from 800Mhz to 700Mhz. I am using 2GB Geil Ultra Low Latency PC6400 RAM. IT WILL NOT BOOT with my memory set at it's stock FSB of 800Mhz. I ran some tests using 'Memtest' and my memory seems to be picking up at least 1 error each time. Could this be the problem? I have only had the memory for a week. Thanks!

you using the right voltages and timings for stock opperation?

the RAM will default to 1.8V, which is less than most need to opperate at DDR2-800

Yes, I changed the voltage to 2.1v and then to 2.3v as advised, but it is still not booting unless I reduce the FSB. It is really odd.

Looks like I am going to have to

I will run it through a few more tests whil I'm at work tomorrow to make sure it is consistent enough. Are there any other memory test programs I can try so I can be totally sure?

Thanks ;)
