Is my Monaro going to fail the MOT?

My MOT is due in two weeks but I'm getting it done this Friday. The issue I have though is with my hazard lights. If I press the hazard button then the hazards will function correctly, flashing on and off. However when you turn them off the left side will often stay on constantly and you have to engage the hazards 2-3 times again to get it off. This does not affect turn signalling at all.

It's a new BCM to repair this, already been diagnosed. Garage can not order a single relay of this type unless ordered in bulk.

Thanks, I'll have a play with my car tonight and see if I'd be willing to risk it and I'll consider that garage.

Friken stupid cheap Vauxhall cars. Which bozo through it was a good idea to solder the relay on?

Virtually all modern cars use a body electronics controller which will have PCB mounted relays. Failure of these relays is far from a Vauxhall specific problem.

do you have a part number for the relay ?
i work in electronics manufacture and may be able to source one for you, soldering something as large as a relay should be very easy even for a novice :p

The only time I've used them and the only time I realised they were broke was when I put them on to say thank you to a truck who moved over on the motorway.

Can you not get one from a breakers? Surely its shared with other cars on the same platform - the Monaro is a Commodore Coupe and the Commodore and the Omega were fundamentally the same car, plenty of Omegas about?

Pop the top off the relay and have a gander inside at what's going on, it could be as simple as a dirty contact or a dry joint.
