So ill keep it short... i have this monitor competitor.

I want to buy these speakers and use them with the monitor for my ps4 and movies/tv shows
competitor.

Will they work and how? Will any speakers work with it?

If by this you mean is there audio pass through from HDMI with a 3.5mm jack out yes it would appear so.

Provided the picture on amazon is correct then this monitor has a headphone OUTPUT socket (+ A 3.5mm INPUT for VGA)
All you simply need to do is connect your speakers to the headphone socket and then whatever source you have selected on the monitor will output the audio to your external speakers via the headphone jack.

**edit**

Just did a check on the speakers you want to use, your link doesn't work but I extracted the B002KQ561U product code.

This appears to be USB speakers, unless they also have an analogue input like a 3.5mm (headphone) then they won't work. You need speakers that have an analogue input, ideally 3.5mm otherwise you will need to build your own lead or buy adapters from ebay (dirt cheap £1 or so)

So will the LINDY USB 2.0 Audio Adapter work as an adapter? i dont use ebay so i dont mind paying a few pound more for it from amazon.

Also, these logitech speakers (Logitech Z120)... it says they have audio input... meaning they'd connect to my monitors 3.5mm jack right? i did check and the monitor does have one.

I just want cheap speakers that id use every now and again... i usually use earphones/headphones . If you can recommend better speakers that dont take up too much space for under £50, im all ears.

Competitor links and names and prices etc are not allowed - stulid.

Can anyone recommend me some cheapish speakers (id pay maximum £50 but ideally not) that i can just plug into my monitor's 3.5mm jack. my laptop isnt next to my monitor (i also use my monitor for gaming a lot) so i cant have usb powered speakers. Would greatly appreciate any help... all this stuff is headaches.
