Ok I've had some major problems with my system and have posted in general and hard drive sections. I'm hoping that I've narrowed the problem to the memory so I'm posting here to get as many opinions as possible.
I'll try and keep this short so people can not get bored but have enough info to please give me their advice..!

My mainboard is a Zotec 9300 wifi and I was running it perfectly with 2gb of Corsair xms 5400 675mhz ram in 2x 1 gb sticks. I think its timings are 4-4-4-12.

I then got some OCZ Gold Edition 4GB (2x2GB) 800mhz PC2-6400C5 and put that in. It's timings are 5-5-5-18.

I didn't know that I should have increased my mobos ram voltage with this new ram so my system (win7, intel 80gb ssd) kept blue screeening and resetting. Once I'd been told to up the voltage (from posting here) the system became better but was still unstable.

On more advice from here I ran memtest86.
I had to stop the first test after an hour and it threw up errors on slot 1 during test 3.
I then swapped the modules around and ran the test again, this time much longer. Again I got lots of errors, this time under test 8. But also strangely from slot 1 again...?
Frustrated I swapped the ram modules again but this time the pc wouldn't even initiate the monitor..?
Feeling throughly annoyed I put my old Corsair ram back in (yes I remembered to lower the voltage again!), pc booted fine, and ran memtest86 again. Result? 'Pass complete, no errors' And I ran 3 passes.

So after all that what are peoples thoughts here? Is my ram faulty? What conclusion would you guys draw from all this? Is there any other tests (other than put the ram in another machine which I can't do unfortunately) you would suggest I do? Is my mobo alright even!?

I'll be really grateful for any help and advice. I'm at my wits end with this!:(:(

I would say your ram is faulty especially as your getting errors during mem test.

RMA the memory.

Up the TRFC timing to 54 or 55. I had a few issues and this was recommended on the ocz forums - solved it for me, I believe this is a known fix for some OCZ gold issues - definitely worth a try.

I can't see any TRFC timings to change!?

All I see under my boards memory timings are,
tCL (CAS Latency)
tRCD
tRP
tRAS
Command per Clock (CMD)
tRRD
tRC
tWR
tWTR
tREF

Does any of that do the same thing??

Ok well I'm up for altering this TRFC setting but in the meantime I managed t get my hands on some nice safe Corsair XMS2 ram.. Boy am I regretting changing my ram brand after 10+ years!

Anyway they are 6400C5C 800mhz with timings of 5-5-5-18 1.80v. From Corsairs site they quote me running the Ram Voltage at 1.9 still, the same as my old Corsair 5400 675mhz sticks... Could someone tell me if that sounds about right? Or should I be running them higher?

I honestly don't know what it's also called. Your motherboard manufacturer's forum may be best place to ask.
