Is my PC OK for Linux?

I have a QBic PC which I currently use for download/ftp/print/archive storage (backup) using Windoze NT. I occasionally use it for WP and watching the odd movie when I can't be bothered to start up my main PC. It has a 1Ghz VIA C3 Nehemiah CPU with 512MB RAM.

Is this enough to Linux (Ubuntu flavour)?

TIA

It'll probably be OK. You might run into some issues with drivers but it shouldn't be anything that is not solvable.

I recommend Xubuntu instead of regular Ubuntu though. It's a lot snappier on lower-end hardware and it'll still let you run all of your favorite Gnome apps.

most versions of linux will run ok on that... like someone has already said drivers *may* be a problem, but it's unlikely... use a live CD just to make sure before you commit to an install.
