Hello all,

Currently got a phanteks AMP 750w and about to upgrade from AM4 to AM5 in the week and just wondering if my 750w has enough for my future plans

I'm installing the following next week
7800x3d
B650 carbon
1x sn850x 2tb
1x Samsung QVO 1tb
Ek 240aio
6x140 bequiet light wing fans
2x 120 bequiet light wing fans
Zotac rtx3080

I also plan on buying a 7900xtx soon unless I decide to wait for the newer cards

Is my 750 enough or do I need to look at something like a 1000w?

Thanks

Interesting as I've been having random restarts now and again, even when the PC is idle, it don't so it much.

I'm thinking about upgrading it and using for my daughter's PC.

MSI PSU any good? I believe they are manufactured by CWT? And phanteks is a Seasoning?

Sounds like something is faulty but without using a known good PSU, it’s hard to say.

Is it a hard restart or a BSOD?

I agree with the others, you might be ok but since you’re having issues with the current PSU and want to upgrade, maybe upgrade and see if that fixes restarts?

MSI have some good power supplies, yes but it’s all rebranded OEM models so have a look at some reviews first

Never ever ask “is this brand good?”, they all will have some bad products and some good products within their lineup.
Hard restart, give kernal-41.

It's not all the time, is very random.
My b650 platform is being delivered today so will build it later and see how it is.
