Is my PS3 Ill?

Well last few times ive turned it off the normal way hold power button in select turn off but when i come to turn it off it keeps saying has enourted a serioes error would you like to report it to sony ?

Any one else get this? If so did it die eventually or did it just eventually go away. As my PS3 IS NOT allowed to die as we have avp/ff13 very soon! =(

P.S Its a 40GB FAT w/ WD 250GB Drive

Sounds like it is on its way out. Tried a different HDD?

Nope i havent, i could try find the original drive i guess. Oh well im making a back up of my saves just in case!
