My pc seems to be running fine but today when I checked HW monitor my 12v line is listed as 11.176v

Have a Fury X and 4790K @ 4.7Ghz

PSU is a EVGA SuperNova G2 750W '80 Plus Gold' and is 3 years old

That reading is so slow that PC would likely have serious problems if it were true.
(allowed main rail tolerances are +/- 5%)
Most likely it's just wrong reading.
Software reading sare known to be untrustworty, unless they've been checked to be accurate with multimeter.

if in doubt you can always downlaod hwinfo64 its a lot better at reading sensors, after you've installed it scroll down around halfway until you see you mobo with in there are the 12v, 5v and 3.3v read outs, place you system under load and keep hwinfo open after a while go back to it and see what voltages are being reported, from memory the max tolorance from atx is around 11.6 minimum, if your at 11.1v then alarm bells should be ringing

thanks for your help

downloaded hwinfo and ran a few benchmarks and 12v rail minimum on load was 12.096 :D

HWmonitor must be reporting it wrong

thanks everyone

nice thats good to know its working not sure why but hwmoniter latley has been a bit fishy a couple of others here have had problems with it including me :)
