Is my PSU dead?

Bought a brand new Hiper Modular Type R 3 weeks ago. Put it on the following rig

Socket 754 A64 3400+
DFI Lanparty NF3 UT 250GB
1.5Gb ddr400
2 x dvd-rw
2 x sata drives
1 x pata drive
4 x fans
floppy drive
6800GT graphics card


now 2 hours ago the PC just shut down for no reason, I had just finished playing BF2 only 15 mins before. So I press the power button and nothing and again and again and so on.

I power off the PSU and back on and try nothing. Takes out most my hardware and still nothing. tries a different PSU and it works straight away!!!

No when I replug this PASU in all the mobo lights come on indicating power is getting to somewhere at least. Though when I power on tehres nothing not even a spin of fans.

So is this beast dead ?

If the old psu works fine then there must be a fault with the new psu unless it doesnt have enough juice to power your system but your system doesnt look power hungry so doubt any hiper modulars would have problems running your system - rma it
