Cooler Master 1300 watt silent pro (Purchased August 2012) in a system consisting of a FX9590 (Non oc) and twin GTX590's (Asrock fatal1ty 990FX pro. asrock does list this as OK for the 9590)
(Perhaps I was pushing my luck on the PSU, but I would have thought it should be ok for that set up)
I have noticed using the asrock monitoring facility that the 12 volt line dips under load.
Normally it sits at just over 12V but if I, say, open Firefox it dips to 11.8 (I can believe this since I can also hear the fans slow slightly)
If I work it hard (SETI@home for instance) it drops to 11.5. The 3.3 line drops to about 3.15 though the 5 volt line stays good.
I also get occasional random freezes. sometimes whe I am doing nothing in particular but more commonly if I am doing something hard like SETI.
I don't think it is an over hot 9590 since core temp doesn't show it getting past the mid 50's even when pushed hard.
(Though I do get occasional 256c readings which I am guessing is either going to be a core-temp bug or a faulty CPU temp sensor)
So Is the PSU likely to be a problem? (Might it still be under warranty?) and if so, do I need a more powerful one or simply a similar rated replacement.
(As an aside, is the CPU temp sensor issue an RMA one?)
Cheers
