Is my PSU good enough for Quad core?

How much more power does a quad core need than a dual core?

I currently have the following:

Intel core 2 duo running on a Gigabyte DS4 @2.7gig
4Gb ram
2 HDD in raid 0, and 3 running normal (total 5)
2 DVDrw's
8800 GTS OC to 650/2000
all running off a OCZ 520watt PSU.

I am planning to get a quad core in July and overclock it a bit also.

My psu only has 28A on the 12V rail, would this be ok considering the overclocked 8800 and the 5HDDs?

Not sure if I should budget in a new PSU with the quad core. I can't loose the HDDs because I need them for my work and backups.

thanks.

any psu experts care to shed any light please? My psu is 28A on 12V. will this be ok for 8800 GTS and QuadCore intel. Everything will be overclocked as high as possible.

You'll be fine Harbz.

And True_Scotsman, no! Your Earthwatts would cope easily with just 1 8800gtx but two is gonna overload the poor little thing. You'd want to look at something like the 650w Enermax Infiniti or 620w Corsair as a minimum (buying one of these with the enermax and two with the corsair).
