is my psu on way out

Hey guys ...

im always in HWmonitor so I can always spot when somethings amiss ,

all my voltages are bang on except my 12v which is currently showing as only 7.193 , Yesterday it was bang on with tolerance 12.200 or something daft. I know this program reads correctly as no hardware has changed scince last seen (yday ) its the same with or without an overclock

is my psu about to go nanites ?

If your 12v rails was running at 7v then most likley your pc wouldn't be running. Software is horribly varied when it comes to voltages and the only real way to test is with a multimeter.

5v less than required on the 12v! hmmmmmm cant see it really.

looks more like software or sensor error. as PM said its too much of a difference.

if you have a single rail psu your 3.5" HDD wont be spinning!

, yes single rail . I don't run any mechanical drives except on Hotswap drive but it's mostly always unplugged.

its reporting ~40% less power on the rail. I cant imagine your system would even boot with that power loss.
