On the verge of solving a problem I've been having with my PC for a while now....

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17573094

I am pretty sure it's RAM but I have been told by a lot of people that my PSU is simply not powerful enough, but at the same time I've been told by just as many that my PSU is absolutely fine! So obviously I am a little confused..

As it is I am probably going to try and get some replacement RAM and purchase a new PSU, but I only want to get a new PSU if it's absolutely required..

Here is my PSU: http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=26450

Specs of my system are in my sig..

Thanks..

No MSN sorry :D

Just a quick calc but that system with a few fans pulls around 270W at 12v, flat out. I doubt the PSU is under spec, but it could be faulty. The readings you've given have all been good. But the only way to tell for sure is to measure the three voltages with a multimeter. Its a good investment, £10 for a little pocket one is enough.

Which Geil is it? Maybe the Geil site has motherboard compatibility charts?

I checked on the motherboard site for compatible RAM and my RAM was there, but I was talking to someone earlier on MSN who said he was having the exact problems I am and that there is a known conflict between GeIL and MSI.

EDIT

Just took a look on GeIL's website and my motherboard ISN'T in the compatible list...

It hasn't no, BUT I had been on the computer all day up until that point so I was getting a headache so I haven't tried to run any games since..

I'll do that tomorrow and let you know, in the other thread of course.
