Hi guys, i was just hoping to get some help with my computer before i decide to buy a GFX card and Cpu cooler that my PSU will not be able to handle.

My current PSU is a Cooler Master GX 550W.

My current set up is as follows;

Intel Core i5 2500k, Asus P8P67, Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB, Zotac Nvidia GT 240, Stock Cpu Cooler,
Xigmatek Midguard Case with 5 Xigmatek Case fans.

My new setup will be as follows (I hope :P);

Intel Core i5 2500k, Asus P8P67, Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB, Sapphire 6950 2GB Edition, Antec 920 Kuhler,
Xigmatek Midguard Case with 5 Xigmatek Case fans.

Is the upgrade going to be too much for my PSU to handle? I dont want to get all my new components and then find i can run my machine! Please if anyone has any advice im welcom to hear it :)

These are the official recommendations from AMD based on your chosen graphics card:

500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended

The power consumption section of the review on Guru3D also recommend having a 500W PSU:

Personally I would have thought that you should be fine on your current PSU. You're not likely to be running everything at maximum power draw anyway as they do when they test power consumption so you should be fine. Hope this helps!

EDIT: Stulid beat me to it ;) Must type faster
