Ok so i switched my computer on on saturday everything fine. Then i went to load up my usual fair of BF2 disk left in the drive from my last session a few days before.
Message pops up telling me to put the disk in the drive?? so i open up my computer to find no cd drive there, so a system reboot or two later and nothing has changed, no power is getting to the drive, i poped open the side of the case to check the connections everything is ok.
Having a pressing need to play some BF2 i decided ill plugg in my old dvd drive and sort out it out later. si i do, i restart the computer leaving my case open to reconect everything later, when i switch everything back on again all i get is an overwelming smell of burnt plastic and theres a wisp of smoke comming from the molex connector of the drive, quickly truning everything off i pull the old drive apart to find all the chips burnt up.
Now has my new drive sufered the same fate? If so is my PSU also buggered?
