Is my pump dying?

I've been using an Ehiem 1250 for about 3.5 years to keep the water flowing. Recently I've noticed it making a bit more of a hummmm than usual. When I checked it out its still running quietly but vibrating a bit more on the foam pad which is causing sound. The flow rate is still good and the temps are fine?

Any ideas?

if it's getting louder and vibrating more I'd be getting a bit nervous. 3.5 years is awhile ....or you could just set the CPU shutdown temp to something safe like 68-70c+ in the BIOS so your puter doesn't fry when it goes out...and continue using the current pump til it dies.

If you dare, try dismantling the pump and remove the impeller. It might just need cleaning.

I did that an an old D4, was as good as new afterwards and also a lot quieter

I'll give that a go. Going to be a bit of a job due to its location! When I made the box to install everything I didnt plan very well lol.
