Is my RAM crippled?

Hi guys,

I bought a pack of Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9) a couple of years ago when I put together my gaming rig and have just noticed that the memory is showing as 665 MHz

Is this right? Is there a better way of checking the speed in case CPU-ID is wrong as this seems way too low?

enable XMP memory profile in the bios, your running at 1333mhz not 1600mhz

Cool. It's running at 798 now. Will I notice much of a difference? Running an i7 2700k @ 4.5 and a nice new HIS 7950

Nope not a huge difference. But may aswell run it at its rated speed.
