is my ram the problem?

hi all

ive been told off a few people on the net that my ram is the problem with my computer?
so i come to the experts for some advise please

im currently using 1 gig of twinmos pc3200(2.5) drr-dimm ram
and i have a
512 stick of vdata ddr400(2.5)x16 stick of ram.
i get an average of 39 fps in bf2 with all options maxed at resolution 1280x1024.
my rig is

7950gt ko 512 mbs evga gfx card
4400x2 cpu
asrock dual sata 2 motherboard
1 or 1.5 gigs of ram
600 watt psu
is it my ram thats causing the low fps?

bf2 does use a hell of a lot of memory, especially if you are maxing all the options out, so it could be that, but it still seems quite a low fps, have you got any more ram you could get your ands on to test? try lowering some of the texture details slightly, see if that helps.
