Is my ram working ok ?

I just put a new system together today and I'm moving over from laptops.
I bought this ram Corsair 1600 and I just checked my cpuz and it shows my ram at 668mhz.
Is this how a ram is supposed to work ?
Someone care to educate me ?

Might want to remove the link btw. But basically yes it is but instead of running at 1600mhz it's going at around 1333mhz currently.

You need to set the bios to the XMP profile for RAM also please do remove the link before a mod sees it and does so for you.

It's DDR (Double Data Rate) so you multiply the ram frequency by x2.

As Ollie mentioned, you've got it running at 1333mhz at the moment.
