a while ago my friend and i ran the hitman absolution benchmark
his system was a i5 2500k @ 4.4
gtx 580@stock
kingston hyper x 1600mhz
my system is an i5 2500k @4.7
7970 @ 1110/1550mhz gpu/mem
kingston hyperx 1600mhz
the other thing is that i have hitman on a seagate barracuda 7200rpm 1tb drive where as he had hitman on an ssd but surely that wouldnt affect the result this much?
now we ran the benchmark at the same settings but he was scoring near enough 60fps constantly where as i would struggle to reach 30fps
surely my 7970 should be kicking his 580's backside? the benchmarks ive seen shows the 7970 beating the 580 by a fair margin even at stock.
im using the 12.10 drivers atm, would the 12.11 betas improve everything? or is there something else im missing
3d mark results. strangely with 3dmark is shows the gpu running as it should but the cpu result says it ran at 1800mhz? also the ram is running at 667mhz which equates to 1334mhz on ddr3 i think but the ram is set in the bios to 1600mhz
btw 3dmark run at 720p
is there something wrong? any other benchmarks i should run?
