Is my system secure?

I've been on /b/ recently and frankly wished I hadn't. They post some pretty miserable stuff on there and I won't frequent it again.

I'm concerned that there are some 'iffy' images that I don't want on my PC. I've used the following programs and wonder if it is enough?

Ccleaner

Free Internet Window Washer

Eraser

The eraser program is set to US DoD 5220.22-M (8-306. / E, C and E) which consists of 7 passes.

As I understand it, this is probably enough and Gutmann is overkill.

Any thing else I can do?

Antivirus scan and anti spyware scan (unless eraser does that?) so perhaps grab spybot search and destroy which is pretty good. Then you could always download and run stinger...that should just about do it

I don't think he has a virus/spyware. He just wants to erase traces from that site.

All you need to do is clear your cache. If you wanted to completely cover up the childporn you viewed you should have just used CCleaner with the secure deletion setting (a single pass is all you ever need). Since you've long since deleted the files if you wanted to be quite clean you'd have to completely wipe your drive with something like DBan (again, a single pass of zeros is all you need).
