Guys,
I have got Windows 7 Home Premium 32/64bit discs that are in their original green boxes and the discs have got the Hologram on them. I cant for the life of me remember if they are retail or OEM though and I cant see anywhere on the box or disc that says it either.

I use Windows 8 now and have no use for them so am wanting to sell them on.

One more thing when I paid for Windows 8 I got it when it first came out and I only paid something like £25 for it. Would I have had to use one of the Windows 7 product keys to get it at that price?

Look at the sources folder on the DVD. If it is an OEM version there will be a $OEM$ folder under the sources folder and the product key will be in the file PID.txt.

Great I'll take a look.

Can someone tell me if I would have used one of the W7 product keys to get W8 back when it was £25.00 or so and if so does that meant the W7 key is tied into my W8 installation therefore not being able to sell it.

When you upgraded your windows 7 key in theory it becomes obsolete as the Windows 8 key has taken president.

Going on from the original question a little.

If I wanted to re-install Windows 7 (on the same PC) would I still be able to use the W7 product key?
