Is my X1900GT done for?

Hi all,

Bought a Connect3D X1900GT about 2 1/2 months ago and been pretty pleased with it, but then my curse struck - I sold my previous card and within 48 hours was getting odd crashes on my system. Basically most of the time and with some games I was OK, but if I left the ScreenSpace screensaver on it would either crash and VPU recover would catch it, or it would just hang after seemingly random amounts of time (sometimes could go for hours with no crashes, sometimes would die after a couple of minutes). Started to play FEAR again, and then started getting BSODs citing ati3daug.dll. Ran memtest and 3DMark, and both seemed fine (3DMark had dropped a couple hundred points, but that could just be needing a tidy of running processes, I thought).

So I ran Burn-In test, and failed, with the following info:

and so on, with lots of similar errors. (My network is a bit of a half-arsed job at the mo, hence why that also failed)

I've not overclocked the card at all, and my system runs pretty cool (the card itself is currently 45C, making it the hottest part of the system, but compares to review averages I've seen around the mid-50s when idle!) so does this mean it's dying so soon?

Welcome to the forums,

BTW Ive never seen that test before, but it sounds like your GFX is ILL :(

Thanks :)

This is the test I used (shareware - 30 day free trial), a version had been installed on a PC I bought for its pre-ship testing and I thought it was very handy for troubleshooting, especially if I didn't know what the problem was!

Does anyone know of any other tools that will test graphics card RAM, a second opinion is always useful! :)
