Is my Xbox Controller for PC broken?

Hi,
I recently bought a Xbox 360 wired controller for PC, and it only arrived a few days ago. What I've noticed however is that the right stick seems to be off centre, and it drifts off when the stick is moved to the right. An example of this is Euro Truck Simulator 2, I'll use the right stick to move the camera (it's generally fine moving up, down and left) but as soon as I move it the tiniest bit right, it continues to move right even though I've let go. I've tried recalibrating the controller several times, but no luck. Reinstalling drivers didn't do anything either. When looking in the controller properties panel, the left stick seems to have a mind of it's own as well, but I haven't noticed this in games (probably because I'm constantly moving the left stick).
Googling around, it seems to be a common problem for people with this controller. Should I return it whilst I still can?
Has anyone else had this problem before?
Thanks in advance,
Luke.

I've played FIFA with it but I don't use the right stick in that game so I couldn't tell.
I've screenshotted what it looks like in the calibration screen:

The first screenshot is the controller sitting still.
For the second screenshot, I flicked the stick to the right. Notice how the left stick position has slightly changed, and the X rotation (right stick left-right) is now off centre.

May have to return it then, which is annoying as I've already returned one this week (accidentally bought a fake, silly me :p, but I did get a refund).

EDIT: I've also noticed that I can't get the left stick to reach the corners of the box in the calibration screen, but that may just be how it's intended?
