Is NAS my solution for Squeezebox?

I have a Squeezebox Classic set up downstairs, connecting wirelessly to all my FLAC songs held on the PC upstairs. I want to be able to store these FLAC files on an external device that can be powered when the PC is off (and it will also have to run the Slimserver software I would guess). Do I need a NAS? And, if so, which would be best for my needs?

There are various NAS devices that come with it installed. Just do a search

Qnap ones can definitely have it installed.

Qnap NAS seem good to me, happy with my TS109 running Twonkymedia server feeding my Linn DS.

synology can have it installed as well from the plugins section on the support pages of their website.
