Hi, just overclocked my GTX 580 Gainwood Good edition to Core clock 900MHz / Mem clock @2010MHz / Core voltage @1075.

With fans on 95% it is idling @ 34c and it aint gone over 65c when gaming. Is this safe?????

The temps are safe, though I'd suggest seeing what temperature it reads after you set the fan speed lower than 95%. I would have thought that somewhere between 30 - 40% speed should be ample for idle.

OK, fan speed down to 75%, idling mid 30'sc but hit 85c after a 1 hour session on BF3. All very stable though just not sure about that high temp.

Doesn't that card have a max of 105C? So surely it'll be alright at anything up to 100C or so.

I'd say 85C on a overclocked 580 is a perfectly reasonable temperature and well under the max allowed.
