Is Plex still a thing?

Still using Plex here, got my Lifetime pass a few years back now, while it was still cheaper.
Not taken a look at Jellyfin to be honest, will do at some point in the future if I need to though.

I have Plex Pass because it's required for the PVR functionality, which is one of my main uses. I use it as my main TV recorder these days since I ditched Virgin. It works quite nicely having my recorded TV and media collection available through one app on my AppleTV.
 
Does anyone use Google remote desktop to access their Plex/Jellyfin server, Just wondering how good it is and if you can completely take over the server and install updates?
