Been trying and not having much luck getting it to work. I even set up a revolt card and still won’t work. I even setup a tunnelbear vpn.

I did it with a Barclay card, cost me £28.60. Ensure you're following the steps to the tee.

Try switching VPNs. Mine kept saying UK card when using Urban VPN, then I switched to Tunnelbear and it worked.

Tried tunnelbear and pia. Same on both. Also tried on my friends phone logging into to my Plex account using the exact same card that he used to do the upgrade yesterday. Now comes up with the same message.

I got it to work using Surfshark just now. Came to £28.61. I used my normal bank card as I don't have revolt and didn't want another bank account just for this.

I couldn’t get it to work but then found this comment on HUKD:

Start the process fresh so you land on the payment page for the first time.
Enter the card details and postcode, leave country as Argentina then click Continue to Summary
Get the card error message
Change country below card number to United Kingdom, then click Continue to Summary. the bottom right of the screen will load a CAPTCHA box and continue button - DO NOT CLICK CAPTCHA YET
Change country back to Argentina
THEN tick CAPTCHA box
click Continue to Summary again

That did the trick for me.

Yea that's what I did. Though I failed on Urban every time, but worked on Tunnelbear for me.

Managed to get it for 28 quid as well, hopefully they don't ban the accounts that have paid for it via VPN etc.

OMG the new iPad app is dog ****. You can’t hide the on-demand and live TV crap. And I don’t give a toss what’s trending on Apple TV.

I don’t have on demand or Live TV stuff but I do have Trending Trailers and Trending on Apple TV. I hope there’ll be an option to turn those off in the near future.

I’ve recently started using Infuse to connect to my Plex server which has been a big success. Worth looking into if the Plex app really tees you off

If you login to Plex on the web and go into Settings > Online Media Sources, if you disable Live TV and Movies & Shows, it will hide the free stuff that Plex host, it doesn't remove the Live TV but when you click on that in the app it's basically then only for if you have your own TV Tuner not Plex's TV channels.

Not great, but better than what it is originally, hope that helps a bit.

You may be able to remove those as well in the section I mentioned above as you can disable all the Discover type features in there as well, so worth a look.
